PROJECT RESOURCE MANAGER - BROADCAST MEDIA

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM.

The Project Resource Manager Job Role purpose is intended to own and manage the Engineering resource and delivery plan. The post holder will line manage and allocate resources in the general Solutions architect and Technical Lead pool as well as working with the other Engineering resource owners to ensure the UK Engineering team is able to adequately resource business demand. The Project Resource Manager will have a technical background sufficient to be able to understand resource request requirements and match those to available resources. The post holder will work with the other Engineering resource owners to identify and justify requirements for short and long term resource levels. The Project Resource Manager reports to the Strategic Solutions Architecture Manager within the UK Engineering team.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

- Line Manage the UK Engineering Solutions Architect and Technical Lead team.
- Track and manage incoming demand on the UK Engineering team.
- Coordinate cooperation with other Hub Engineering teams
- Drive project execution: track project activities, monitor & handle changes, conflicts & escalations
- Handle customer & stakeholder engagement where required
- Work to implement and champion Kanban and other efficiency planning methodologies across delivery in the UK Engineering team
- Help promote a culture of individual responsibility, discipline and integrity into the UK Engineering team
- Contribute to identifying issues in the UK Engineering delivery effort and work to put measures in place to resolve.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates will have a technical background gained either from a senior operational or technical role in a broadcast and media setting

Candidates will have a good understanding of business and project management concepts and methodologies, strong organizational skills and be self driven to help deliver an efficient project delivery operation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

5 years in a broadcast and media technology setting, with at least 2 at a senior level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Project Management methodology qualification (eg Prince 2)
