Job Summary

This role will be reporting to the Solutions Delivery Manager within the UK Engineering team. The Key focus is solutions and project delivery within the UK, however some travel and work at other hubs may be required. The Solutions Architect role is customer facing and has involvement in the whole project life cycle from initial client request through high level design and proposal, into detailed design and implementation. This role is the main point of technical authority in project delivery, working closely with Project Management, Operations and Account Management, as well as with relevant Practices within the company. Responsible for analysing, designing & developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for the customers. Responsible for profitable business for the company by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering and solutions.

Responsibilitiesdriving end-to-end technical solutions. Architect for strategic, reusable where possible, and supportable solutions. Analyse customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis. Work with core team on list of potential activities and solutions. Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations. Lead deployment of solution. Liaise with external and internal system integrators, all vendors involved in project, internal project resources, subject matter experts and all stakeholders. Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing. Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable competence build

Qualifications and Experience Requirements.

Extensive experience in Broadcast Engineering particularly in respect of MAM (Media Asset Management) systems, automated workflow design, VOD solution design including DRM. Experience from technical roles focusing on integration is a required experience for this role, eg experience from work as integration engineer. Scripting/coding experience and competence working with Windows and Linux systems. Experience in design and delivery of service-oriented architectures and understanding of software development processes such as Agile. Demonstrable experience in the elicitation & specification of architectural and non-functional requirements. Good familiarity with the disciplines of enterprise software development such as configuration & release management, source code & version controls, and operational considerations such as monitoring and reporting.
