Board Secretary

Secretary/Public Sector Secretary/Board Level Secretary Wanted.

Skills needed: Secretary/Public Sector Secretary/Board Level Secretary experience, excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

My Bristol based client is looking for a Secretary/Public Sector Secretary/Board Level Secretary.

This Secretary/Public Sector Secretary/Board Level Secretary role will be to:
* Ensure the provision of an efficient and effective secretariat to the client Directing Board and its sub-Boards and Committees
* Ensure the Agency's overall compliance with corporate governance best practice and Treasury, Cabinet Office and Department for Transport governance requirements

Key Roles ensuring briefing material made available is timely and of a suitable standard to enable informed decision-making.
* Line management responsibility: setting, monitoring and reviewing performance against objectives (in line with wider team objectives); ensuring effective development through coaching and mentoring.

Essential
* Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
* Able to identify, capture and express concisely the key points of complex discussions or documents
* Able to organise and plan ahead an extensive programme of events and meetings
* Able to confidently and assertively work with senior manager/directors.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desirable
* Line management experience.
* Understanding of general management processes (project management, risk management, operations management, audit etc).
* Understanding of government corporate governance issues
