RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Business Objects best practices and champions adherence to best practices when developing Business Objects strategies
- Provides technical leadership for projects within the Business Objects program to achieve business strategy and vision
- Provides input to long-term strategy as well as input as to how to achieve organizational goals and maximize business value of the Business Objects solution
- Leads/Co-leads process improvement efforts for the Business Objects program using advanced continuous improvement tools and skills resulting in significant cost savings
- Makes autonomous, timely decisions with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure. Impact of these decisions has direct business consequences
- Provide input to the technical and strategic plans for the Architecture and Technology team
- Demonstrates knowledge of ERP Netweaver best practices and champions adherence to best practices when developing ERP strategies
- Participates in the design and implementation for complex and business critical initiatives related to Business Objects infrastructure, integration tools or Middleware projects for the Enterprise.
- Provides consultation and education for other BT groups, including Business System Process teams and infrastructure groups, and jointly implements information management solutions for business facing systems.
- Investigates emerging technologies and initiates
- Proof of Concept testing for technologies which may offer significant cost, performance or efficiency benefits
- Often self-initiates project and other work assignments.
- Provides BT partnership services
- Including providing input to strategic direction to drive implementation of robust systems and business processes.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- BS/BA in Technical or Business field with 7 or more years of experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in SAP Business Objects administration activities
- Experience with multiple Business Objects installs and/or upgrades
- SAP Business Objects Capacity Planning
- Advanced Knowledge of SAP Business Objects Architecture
- Experience administering and configuring Tomcat
- Knowledge of Business Objects Security Architecture and Administration
- Advanced Knowledge of AIX
- At least 5 years experience with SAP Basis/Netweaver Administration including BW preferred
- Experience configuring and administering CTS+ for Business Objects
- Experience administrating, installing, configuring and troubleshooting Business Objects 4.x environments
- Disaster Recovery Concepts
- Strong analytical and problem resolution experience
- Strong written and oral communications skills
