Contract. Glasgow. 6 Months + (2 year project). £350 - £450 per day

One of our Blue-Chip clients has an urgent requirement for a BMC specialist to build end to end BMC accross 3 platforms, Unix, Wintel, Oracle. This is working on a major transformation programme where a BMC specialist is needed to provide expertise around the whole BMC toolset, from appropriate tool selection to implementation and policy definition.

You will be well versed in BPPM, ADDM And Entuity, and have extensive experience of building and configuring the core BMC capability, exploiting the toolset for the full use of products. You will be experienced in the deployment and configuration of agents into multiple environments and network zones, as well as experience of deploying and configuring agents into secure environments (PSN Networks).

You will be an experienced engineer who holds experience of defining server and application monitoring thresholds for items such as hardware alerts, component failures, component faults and predictive fails, file system thresholds, database thresholds, service up/down alerting, process errors, processing overruns (batches).

Since this a brand new environment being created, you will have already rolled out the BMC product set to Wintel, Unix/Linux, Oracle platforms. As well as your BMC expertise, you will also hold the skills required to define and configure other monitoring & alerting tool sets including Oneview, and Solarwinds which will be used in conjunction with BMC and/or used to feed alerts to BMC via SNMP traps etc.
