BMC Software Engineer - 6-9 Months Contract (Initial) in Brussels - EU

We currently have a vacancy for a BMC SOFTWARE ENGINEERto offer his/her services within a EUROPEAN INSTITUTION (CLIENT) IN BRUSSELS, Belgium to start ASAP a 6 months contract (initial) in an EN-speaking environment, the perspective is multiple-years.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

In particular the following services will be provided:

- Development of applications: Analysis, design, development, implementation, test, maintenance, training and support of applications.
- Functional analysis of business requirements, business processes and definition of user requirements
- Technical analysis and specification of business processes, user requirements and of applications
- Architecture of applications & Prototyping
- Design and development of applications, user interfaces, service and component models and their interfaces, Middleware components, relational databases
- Proofs of concept
- Implementation and customisation of applications and databases
- Implementation of security defined for applications
- Definition of test strategies, design and test of applications
- Maintenance (corrective, adaptive and perfective) of applications
- Technical assessment of technologies and/or related products
- Functional and technical documentation and training
- Support of applications (2nd/3rd tier)
- Incident & Problem Management
- Reporting

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor Degree in ICT or related subject or Secondary Education complemented by 5 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN ICT
- Overall Practice in ICT 3 years in BMC Software
- Good knowledge in ITSM PLATFORM to facilitate and optimize its ICT support organization is required
- Prior experience in the use of the platform for all service support and delivery activities including Incident Management,
- Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management,
- Request Fulfilment, Asset & Configuration Management, Service Catalogue Management,
- Release & Deployment Management, in alignment with ITIL v3 recommendations and best practices.
- The current ITSM platform is BMC SDE.
- Fluent in English is a requirement, both written and spoken.
- Fluent in French is desired (not mandatory).
