Role: BMC Engineer
Locations: PHOENIX, AZ
Duration: 12 months +

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to);
Maintain detailed knowledge and currency of BMC product set functionality
Provide BMC expertise to project teams
Escalate product problems via official product support line
Personal compliance and ownership on security, audit and systems integrity posture
Highlight areas for improvement in current processes, and work with the team to implement improvements
Raise, update and seek approval of problem and change records as required
Make approved system configuration changes
Install, test and customize approved software products
Perform problem determination, problem root cause identification and problem resolution

REQUIRED
High School Diploma/GED
At least 3 years experience in BMC Performance Managers for Servers (Unix and Windows)
At least 3 years experience in BMC Performance Managers for Databases (DB2, DB2-EEE, MSSQL, Oracle)
At least 2 years experience in BMC Portal Management
At least 2 years experience in PATROL Classic Console
At least 2 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies
English: Fluent

PREFERRED
Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology
At least 3 years experience in BMC Performance Assurance for Servers (Unix, Windows and Virtual Systems)
At least 3 years experience in BMC Performance Assurance Console
Basic knowledge in Automator, Visualizer, and Perceiver
At least 2 years experience in Perl programming
Basic knowledge in BMC Proactive

Are there any MUST-HAVE skills that you would like us to focus on?
Working knowledge to perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and problem support of the following products:
- BMC Performance Managers for Servers (Unix and Window)
- BMC Performance Managers for Databases (DB2, DB2-EEE, MSSQL, Oracle)
- BMC Portal Management
- PATROL Classic Console
- BMC Performance Assurance for Servers (Unix, Windows, and Virtual Systems)
- BMC Performance Assurance Console - Creating & Scheduling Managers for Agent and Proxy-based Servers
- Auotmator, Visualizer, Perceiver

Other Skill - Familiarity with distributed systems environments (Unix and Windows) - SA Level Skill Preferred Perl Programming
