OBJECTIVE:
My client is a Brussels based international bank. You will be involved in the debugging, launch and support of the BMC Atrium CMDB8.0 in Production. You will provide support in the testing and validation environment. Resolution of post launch issues. Finally you will produce an Audit of the current solution and propose action plans.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
Infrastructure Audit Report: Write an Audit Document that will analyze the current BMC Atrium infrastructure
The document will compare the current infrastructure functionalities with the original expected scope, and will also list all issues and missed functionalities. You will provide a set of recommendations and also collect all potential new requirements from the business.
HLTD V2.0 : Having the Infrastructure Audit Report document and based on the current version of the HLTD High Level Technical Design, you will write a new HLTD that will integrate all foreseen lists of bug fixes and/or updates. The new design document will also propose for every change an action plan and/or a migration strategy. In addition, the document will also mention and propose (in a separated chapter) a migration plan from 8.0 to 8.1. This includes a short analysis of the impact of that migration.
Action Plan - HLTLS : You will propose a detailed plan for the testing and implementation of the solution described in the HLTD V2.0 .
Test Summary Report : Support all tests phases. Agreeing on the priority of technical/functional issues, you will be involved in the resolution of issues assigned to you, suggest actions plan, share your expertise. These tests will support the acceptance of the solution described in the HLTD V2.0 (Requirements and issues listed in the Audit Report).
Training and Presentation : You will organize 3 sessions of training (1/2 day) presenting the BMC product from functional and technical aspects. This will include various aspects including best practice, support, etc
Support Post Launch : During 3 months, you will continue to monitor the production and will produce a weekly report mentioning all potential technical issues. The report will also analyze the performance of the product.
OPTIONAL TASKS (IF NEEDED AND TIME PERMITTING):
Analytics and Dashboard Best Practice : You will produce a document that will present the Analytics and Dashboard function and its use at the bank for the end users.
ADDM Design : You will write a proposal for the deployment of the ADDM architecture. This document will expose all requirements and list the different options/solutions.
BMC Proactivenet : You will assess the BMC Proactivenet and will write a report exposing all current CA NSM tool requirements against Proactivenet functions. This document must deliver a recommendation and a high level migration strategy.
BMC Suite Strategy Document : You will help the bank Technical Domain Owner (TDO) to write a memo explaining the next steps and strategic evolution of the BMC suite. The memo will expose all current benefits and explain how and why the bank should continue to implement the BMC suite.
You and the TDO will organize a strategic meeting with all the bank's BMC stakeholders to expose their view.
Some week-end work might be required (during the week-end launch)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- You will be an expert in BMC products and more specifically in the AR System version 8.0. You must have a sound understanding of the functional aspects of the product.
- You must be able to define new classes, modify end-users screens, upload data from XLs sheet (spoon jobs), integrate BMC Bladelogic with the AR System.
- Ideally you should also have integrated this AR System with an LDAP infrastructure and with an SCCM solution (Microsoft).
- You should have a good understanding of the BMC Atrium CMDB from both a technical and functional architecture point of view.
- Ideally, and to cover the next step of the deployment of this BMC solution (early Q2 2014) you should also have a good understanding of BMD ADDM (both technical architecture and functional design) + TPL Scripting language.
- BMC expert product knowledge;
- Atrium and/or CMDB;
- Bladelogic;
- AR System.
