This position is responsible for managing BLOG STRATEGIES that drive audience growth, measurable engagement, demand generation, and lift internal involvement in blogging and social media across the company. This position will be at the social media center of excellence, liaising between multiple internal teams, agencies and stakeholders.

This candidate manages a social channel community which may include tens of thousands of individuals and be a key stakeholder in the shaping the company's brand perception.


- Manage the client's instance of Wordpress, ensuring a flawless user experience for both readers and blog contributors
- Work with the blogs editor to ensure a steady publishing cadence that drives views, shares, comments, subscribers, referring traffic to the website and ultimately delivers business value
- Collaborate with rest of social media team to incorporate multimedia social elements into blog content, eg SlideShare presentations, YouTube videos, Embedded Twitter posts and Infographics
- Work with social media team to repurpose content for manual and automated social syndication
- Cross-promote gated assets alongside blog posts for bridge between inbound and demand gen
- Liaise with SEO stakeholders to optimize blog post content, titles, cross-linking, and keyword tags
- Foster adoption of social media and blogging amongst company executives through training and ad hoc consultation
- Experiment with new techniques and technologies to increase the effectiveness of the client's blogging presence
- Identify, interpret, and capitalize on inbound marketing, content marketing, and social media trends
- Manage planning time horizon that is typically fairly short and tactics that are adjusted often, sometimes on an hourly basis, based on content performance and opportunities
- May have 1 - 2 direct reports.


- 4 to 8 years of marketing experience for a technology company including 3 years of inbound marketing responsibilities
- Solid understanding of inbound and content marketing, B2B demand generation, lead generation and lead nurturing
- Top-notch communication skills, especially writing and editing
- Experience marketing to IT professionals
- Inbound marketing certifications and/or coursework a plus
- Proven track record of running blogging programs that have delivered measurable results
- Proven hands-on experience growing and engaging an audience via Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Slideshare, and blogs
- Intimate knowledge of Wordpress
- Experience with various marketing and social measurement tools/platforms a plus, eg Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Social Suite, Wildfire, Hootsuite, etc.
- Hands-on experience writing/editing content which adheres to SEO best practices
- Requires constant learning due to the rapid pace of change in social media
- Business travel of approximately 10 percent yearly expected
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or equivalent relevant experience preferred
