Blogger/Web Editor - Mobile Android Sector

As a Technical writer and web editor, it is your responsibility to write technical articles, blog posts and sometimes also technical documentation for Developer World, and publish fundamental content & assets. You should have a deep interest in understanding technology, and you should have a strong desire to communicate through written text, images and videos. As writing texts will be an essential part of your job, you need to have a solid interest and proven knowledge in writing and in external communication. We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English, and it's a strong merit if you have worked with technical documentation, marketing and PR before.

You will also work with the Developer World websites, in making sure everything is relevant, functional, consequent and updated with the latest information and tools. This requires you to be able to work both high and low in a structured way, embracing the various challenges with patience, a care for details and creativity. Your job is to make sure everything is at the right place at the right time, with the right information, and in sync with relevant stakeholders. We expect you to have proven experience from web editor work before.

We imagine that you are a very structured person, with a good eye for details, but you should also be open to the ever changing environment of the mobile industry. Deadlines are often tight, and you must be able to work at a high pace, and at the same time be able to make the right priorities. You should also have a clear user perspective, and always consider how the information is perceived outside-in. It is also important that you have a technical interest and knowledge in mobile phones. In this role, you are also in contact with many internal and external interfaces. It is important therefore that you are a communicative and social person who like and value these contacts.

It's also a strong merit if you are knowledgeable in how underlying web technologies work (for example Amazon and Wordpress), and if you have some experience from project management.

You will be answering to Head of Developer Relations, and you will be part of a communication team where the content strategy is defined by the Senior Editor. It is your responsibility to take ownership and drive stories, articles and the Developer World website according to this.

Tasks include:
*Write technical articles, blog posts and sometimes also technical documentation
*Create & update sections and pages on Developer World with relevant information in time for product releases, new services and similar.
*Coordinate content updates with internal and external interfaces and vendors.
*Write developer page specifications, blog posts and articles.
*Support improvements on the Developer World website together with the web architect.
