For our client in the Brussels banking industry we're currently looking for a BMC Bladelogic Unix specialist

The Unix Technical Services team is responsible for the 2nd and 3rd level support 420+ IBM AIX, Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux Servers running various applications. The team is also responsible for architectural designs for projects using UNIX as well as accountable and responsible for the stability of UNIX environments. The team provides onsite cover between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 GMT Mon - Fri, and also provides watch duty cover outside of office hours.
For the Unix team we are looking for a BMC BladeLogic Specialist and reports to the Head of UNIX Enterprise Technical Services. This position will require frequent travel to City of London. Normal working hours are 09:00 - 17:00. It's possible you have to provide out of hours watch duty support and perform occasional weekend work.

Job description:
Incident Management:
Provide 2nd & 3rd level support for UNIX operating systems (AIX, Solaris & Linux) and applications. Escalation to third party vendors when required. Impact: Ensure compliance with Key Performance Indicators.

Project Based Activities:
Be a technical lead, or backup for UNIX based projects. Liaise with other technical and business teams to ensure the successful completion of projects. Impact: Liaise with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget.

Documentation:
The creation and administration of technical documentation for the Unix Systems Administration team as and when required.

Change Management:
Technical validation/review of system changes within the company. Planning and administration of changes affecting the UNIX environment Impact: Ensure Changes are reviewed and performed on time.

Technical Skills:
BMC BLADELOGIC SERVER AUTOMATION 8.X
* Specifically in Unix (AIX/Solaris/Linux) environments
* Product packaging including pre/post actions
* Compliance jobs, remediation, reporting
* Managing the Property Dictionary, Extended Objects, Server properties, etc
* Configuration Management

AUTOMATION/INSTALLATION
* IBM NIM
* Solaris Jumpstart
* Red Hat Kickstart
* Packaging (RPM, lpp)
