BIOPROCESS SPECIALIST - CELL CULTURE/FERMENTATION needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in KING OF PRUSSIA, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide hands-on support for technology development scale-up work to demonstrate proof of concept for technologies progressed within the biopharm workstream business plan.
- If required, optimize the growth and productivity parameters of suspension cell lines and assist, as needed, in the hands on experiments to define these variables.
- Support the technical transfer of data, processes and technical specifications to development and technology transfer teams for the implementation in large-scale manufacturing operations for clinical and commercial development of targeted products.
- Prepare, analyze, present and write technical reports in support of technology development conclusions and decision making.
- Support as required the seeking, picking, learning, integrating and incubating of new transformative ideas, science and technology within a broad thematic area.
- Collaborate with existing technology development efforts in the Biopharm R&D community and the wider Manufacturing Technology Roadmap in the specific scientific area of Cell Line & Cell Culture/Fermentation.
- Assist in the evaluation of technologies against Commit to Technology Industrialization Milestone criteria in the specific scientific area of Cell Line & Cell Culture/Fermentation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree, five (5+) years of experience, MS degree two to four (2-4) years experience, PhD zero to three (0-3) years experience is strongly preferred in Biology, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Excellent scientific knowledge in Cell Line & Cell Culture/Fermentation.
- Fundamental and thorough understanding of sterile laboratory techniques and experience with culturing suspension adapted mammalian cells, operating bioreactors is highly desirable.
- Broad understanding of all science/engineering principles applicable to biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical development/manufacturing.
- Knowledge and experience of early phase technology search, technology development and proof of concept studies for technology development efforts is preferred.
- Knowledge of design of experiment (DOE) tools.
- Experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or process/technology development in a technical role.
- Scale-up and process development experience using recombinant proteins/antibodies.
