Biology Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician required for a Medical Solutions company based in Cardiff within the Manufacturing team producing Biology products to be responsible for meeting a demanding schedule and undertake the full range of manufacturing processes including raw material and goods receipt and issue, product formulation, dispensing, freeze drying (lyophilisation), inspection, labelling, packing and despatch.

Main Responsibilities:

- Under directions of the Manufacturing Team Leader ensure that both the manufacturing schedule and customer requirements are met to time and quantity.
- Undertake a range of dispensing processes both manual and automated (with appropriate training) such that the end product meets the required specifications.
- Be an active member of a team capable of delivering an effective, high quality customer service and able to adapt quickly to meet changing priorities.
- Demonstrate a meticulous attitude to Quality, especially the completion of documentation to provide a fully auditable record of each operation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience of working in a biological laboratory is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety best practice in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience of complying with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good laboratory practices) and SLA's (Service level Agreements)
- Comply with EHS and Quality regulations and policies
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Able to carry out repetitive dispensing/capping/labelling type activities.
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Good communication skills and an ability to accurately follow methods
- Ability to conduct work in accordance recognized quality standards
- Flexible approach to hours worked
- Understanding of IT systems such as MS Office, Oracle, Lotus Notes
