Biologist Job

BIOLOGIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CHESTERFIELD, MO.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Hand- on experience of subcloning, Agrobacterium-mediated gene expression, infiltration and phenotypic data collection

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- In collaboration with team members to prepare research materials;
- Develop molecular assays to facilitate plant disease trait phenotyping;
- Collect genotypic and phenotypic data from mapping populations and communicate the data with scientists across teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, plant Sciences, Biology, or related areas
- Two (2) years of related work experience
- Sufficient knowledge and experience on primer design, DNA sequence analysis and related software application;
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with managers, and team partners; capable of working successfully as a member of a collaborative team;
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Detail and results oriented for delivering high quality results;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills;
- PC Proficient-a strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft software.
