Bioinformatics Technician Job

BIOINFORMATICS TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT HIRE opportunity with Yoh's client located in WILMINGTON, DE.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Regeneration of most bio-informatics studies pertaining to submissions.
- Handle the responses to RCST hits, the bio-informatics analyses required for Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 reviews, analyses for gene disruption, the generation of vector reports, the review of submission dossiers.
- Handle the annual update of the RCST toxin database, the qualification and testing of the annual upload of the revised allergen and toxin databases to RCST, including a toxin database clustering project,
- Responsible for ongoing miscellaneous requests for analysis or information from others in the organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree required; bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics is preferred.
- Experience ensuring the appropriate data and information is properly stored to facilitate accessibility, compliance with appropriate procedures & policies for information clearance.
- Candidate may also be involved in routine information searches and compiling information for requestors.
- Experience with document management.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Adobe.
- Requires excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing deadlines, team player.
