Bioinformatics Consultant

Bioinformatics Consultant required for project lasting a minimum of 12 months in MA.

The ideal candidate would have about 5+ years of total experience, with at least 3+ years in Pharma & Bioinformatics. You must have strong experience in supporting Biological data analysis and data management applications. Functional knowledge in Biostatistics and knowledge of a Unix environment is required.

Regular tasks would involve:
*Incident resolution (L2 - technical support)
*Service request management
*Problem management
*Maintenance and monitoring, installation of patches, upgrades

The right candidate will ideally possess these skills:
*Good testing skills, knowledge of IQs, OQs would be good
* Strong expertise in working with applications for biological data analysis and biological data management.
* Experienced in working with clinical data requiring HIPAA compliance.
* Experienced in working with lab-automation instruments for histopathology lab.
* Experience of working with databases
* Experienced in working with various application architectures in Bioinformatics arena - desktop standalone, Client Server and web-server based.
* Experienced in working with Windows and Unix OS and managing both test and production environments.
* Experienced in developing processes for application support, maintenance and packaging. Also developed FAQs, knowledge base and other relevant documentation for various applications.
