Bioinformatician

The Bioinformatician will:
otranslate discoveries into testable hypotheses;
oexhibit a proven track record of relevant and innovative bioinformatics experience;
odevelop proprietary bioinformatics and statistical tools for cancer systems biology; and
ointegrate and deploy such tools for broad research utility.
•Collaborate with a group of experts in cancer research to assess advances in bioinformatics technologies to recommend and develop a bioinformatics platform implementation strategy for use in discovery and translational research.
•Utilize proprietary data derived from Champions TumorGraft models and will interact with a scientific team focused on correlating signal transduction and gene expression changes within tumor cells and tissues.
•Identify and characterize tumor maintenance, survival or drug resistance genes and pathways.
•Uses knowledge of statistical theory and applications, database management systems, and statistical programming to develop and perform relevant statistical analyses.
