Bioanalytical Scientist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Integrate information, summarize appropriately and coordinate activities to initiate reagent generation, including monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, via external contract research labs.
- Characterize, purify (protein A and ligand affinity) and conjugate (biotin, RU, alexa etc) reagents for ligand binding assays (LBA), providing reproducible quality and life cycle inventory and knowledge database management for resupply purposes.

SKILLS

4-7 years experience in Analytical Equipment, Analytical Techniques, Assay Studies, Cell/Tissue Culture required. 3-5 years experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical company. Bachelor's degree is required; Experience in use of ligand binding assays (ELISA, flow cytometry, western blots, etc) is required; Ability to excel in a collaborative, fast paced and dynamic environment are essential, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills; A flexible approach and team oriented work style to goal delivery will be critical to the success of the candidate; Good critical and strategic thinking, logical thought process, willingness to learn and work across multiple disciplinary groups; Knowledge of monoclonal antibody production, reagent conjugation and purification schemes are additional and beneficial; Understanding of biochemistry, protein: protein interactions, cell based assays would be beneficial.
