Billing Manager

OUR CLIENT, A LARGE OUTSOURCING ORGANISATION, REQUIRES A BILLING MANAGER TO LEAD THE BILLING TEAM AND ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL BILLING PROCESS FOR A MAJOR NATIONAL CONTRACT.

The Billing Manager will oversee the billing cycle, working in close communication with other departments to ensure methodical resolution of all billing issues and to improve process where possible. This role will suit a highly analytical candidate with strong organisation skills and an ability to continuously achieve targets and results.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Delivering the billing management accounts and presenting analysis to senior management on a regular basis.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate resolution of all billing investigation and debt management queries.
- Leading, coaching and motivating the billing team.
- Seeking continuous areas for improved efficiency in billing processes, in particular through managing the link between the contact centre and IT.
- Building relationships with the customer's operational and finance teams and seeking areas to improve process and communication.

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:

- Educated to degree level and hold a finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Extensive billing experience, with detailed understanding of the billing process and the relevant system inputs.
- Strong IT skills, including experience using large ERP systems and excellent MS Office knowledge including advanced Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with customers, clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Experience of managing and developing teams.
- Strong analytical skills, able to provide insightful reports and commentary based on large volumes of data.
- A driven and organised self-starter who is committed to delivering strong results.

This is a contract position for a minimum of six months.
