As the Financial Accountant International based in our City Office, you will be responsible for working within the management accounts team, this role will provide the information which allows the company to make informed decisions regarding the continued stewardship of the business. The role will also involve assisting with the calculations and preparations for the Balance Sheet, P&L and Trial Balance reporting, cash flow management and GL analysis
The successful candidate will be process driven with a high level of accuracy, team orientated, with a professional approach to work and have a genuine desire to partner with the business.
Ideal candidates will also have experience gained within an International particularly European and Asian high growth business. This role requires a capable and proven Financial Accountant who is either qualified in their CIMA (or equivalent) or working towards that goal with a proven record of sound account knowledge and influence.
This role specifically requires an individual who has the ability to use a language such as Dutch, Swedish or French at a competent business level both written and verbal
Key tasks for the role include:
*Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts including analysis of variances and production of commentary to deadlines with high degree of accuracy.
*Prepare and ensure all reconciliations are performed accurately, completely and in timely manner on monthly basis (examples but not limited to Confidential Invoice Discounters, VAT, Taxes, Net Pay, Control Accounts, Bank, etc)
*Ensure the FC and CFO are aware of all current and potential issues/risks in a timely and co-ordinated manner.
*Manage daily cashflow, weekly and cashflow forecasting to ensure funds are available to meet ongoing commitments (short-medium term cashflow, and daily)
*Assisting with Audit, and auditors for area of responsibilities. Prepare for audit and provide analysis/and explanation as required
*Trend and analysis reporting for CFO and Financial Controller, and reporting for other areas of the business to agreed deadlines and timetables.
*Assist with full compliance with all local government/taxation regulations/invoice financier and audit.
*Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including submission of returns, availability of information and adherence to deadlines. Such as eg VAT, P11D, Corporation Tax.
*Point of daily contact with external accountants and consultants in conjunction with local legislative and compliance requirements, and with internal payroll and compliance teams. Ensure the relationship operates as set out by management, and recommending changes as appropriate
*Ensure maintenance and reconciliation (physical as well) of the Fixed Assets Register/Leases performed, and clear unambiguous business process is in place to safeguard and control assets.
*Involvement in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts in accordance with Accounting Standards, and working with the auditors to ensure sign off in accordance with agreed timetable. (and a move to IFRS as required in near future)
*Working with colleagues to improve efficiencies in the Finance team with regard to business process and system development. Excellent knowledge of all systems required.
