Bilingual Controls/Automation Engineer III - Oil and Gas Job

Yoh has a 24 MONTH CONTRACT (to hire) OPPORTUNITY for a BILINGUAL (SPANISH) CONTROLS/AUTOMATION ENGINEER III to join our Oil and Gas client in downtown Houston, Texas.

KEY NOTES FOR THIS POSITION:

- Must be capable of international TRAVEL/SOUTH AMERICA for up to 45 DAYS AT A TIME. APPROX. 35% TRAVEL PER YEAR.
- Candidates should be expert in ROCKWELL CONTROL SYSTEMS, including ControLogix, FactoryTalk View SE, AAdvance SIS systems, and system networking.
- Must be able to program Rockwell Automation systems proficiently. Function block programming language is a must.
- Experience (though not required) to be CERTIFIED, in SIS systems, SIS determinations, and programming.
- Natural gas compression stations, industrial process systems (NOT DISCRETE MANUFACTURING).
- Must speak good to be fluent in SPANISH. SPEAKING AND WRITING ARE A MUST.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- (SPANISH) CONTROLS/AUTOMATION ENGINEER III will interact with the Proposal Manager, Project Manager, Engineers, Designers, Consultants, and Execution Team from the point of Inquiry through Startup and Commissioning.
- COORDINATE AND REVIEW ALL CONTROLS/AUTOMATION REQUIREMENTS with the Proposal Coordinator and/or the project team to insure company standards are offered/supplied and any nonstandard technical components of the Client RFQ's are suitably addressed.
- Coordinate and review all technical and commercial requirements with the 3rd party vendors prior to proposal to insure all scope components of the Contract are in the proposal and/or Costing Model.
- SERVE AS LEAD CONTROLS/AUTOMATION CONTACT IN PROJECT MEETINGS between engineering, project management project operations and client.
- PERFORM CONTROLS/AUTOMATION ENGINEERING TASKS such as, but not limited to: Coordinating With Mechanical Engineers during PID development, DEVELOPING CONTROLS SYSTEM ARCHITECTURES, Ensuring design compliance with company and project specifications, developing I/O point list, checking and coordinating 3rd party vendor drawings, development of Cause and Effect Diagrams and Process Narratives, perform panel shop inspections, witness/host FAT testing with vendors and clients, perform field commissioning support, ensure as-commissioned documentation is produced and distributed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Candidates should be expert in ROCKWELL CONTROL SYSTEMS, including ControLogix, FactoryTalk View SE, AAdvance SIS systems, and system networking.
- AutoCAD and/or CADWorx experience is a Plus.
- 10-15 years of experience in Industrial Automation, preferably with Distributed I/O topologies in the oil and gas industry.
- Must be, and remain, knowledgeable incurrent industry practices and technologies.
- Understand the basics of oil and gas processes and fundamentals behind system/plant design, engineering, construction, commissioning and operations.
