Big Data Systems Administrator (Spark, Hadoop) - Banking (Amsterdam)

EXPERIENCED BIG DATA SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WITH EXPERTISE IN SPARK AND HADOOP SOUGHT BY A LEADING GLOBAL BANKING BRAND BASED IN AMSTERDAM.

You will join a highly-skilled specialist team focusing engineering and operations of a Big Data stack including Spark/Hadoop, Impala, Scala, Kafka and Airflow. You will work alongside a Development and Engineering team will specific responsibility for implementing releases, performance tuning, back-up/recovery and life cycle management. Our client is also keen for this hire to proactively monitor and advise on new product releases and new technology innovations which will further assist in creating a world-class Big Data platform.

Requirements

- Track-record in Big Data Operations - especially Spark and Hadoop.
- Experience with/exposure to Impala, Scala, Kafka and Airflow are all highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) essential. Dutch language skills of any level are highly desirable.
- Experience in Banking or in a similar mission-critical enterprise-level production environment preferred.
- Candidates must have an EU passport to work in this location.
