BIG DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER (HADOOP)

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a BIG DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER.For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. ROLE:

- Our client in the banking sector is building a new cross regional Big Data cluster. The aim is to build a big data platform as a service offering.

SKILLS:

- Very skilled hands-on Hadoop development/engineering/programming Experience
- Detailed knowledge of Hadoop and related technologies
- Working knowledge of security concepts (as they relate to Hadoop)
- Configuration Management (Saltstack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
- Strong UNIX skills (Redhat preferred)
- Strong Python/Java/Scala programming
- Strong understanding of data pipeline, data transformation approaches and tools.
- Hands-on experience with Hive SQL
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Very high interest in big data and new technologies
