Big Data Engineer - Log Management (5405)

For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced BIG DATA ENGINEER - LOG MANAGEMENT (5405)

You will work with the Product Management and Data Science teams and will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and testing infrastructures for data collection, aggregation and analysis. The Data Engineer is responsible for providing data in a ready-to-use form to data scientist.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ YEARS OF HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AS (BIG) DATA ENGINGEER
- LOG MANAGEMENT /BIG DATA PLATFORMS SPLUNK/ARCSIGHT/ELK (PLATFORMS)
- ADVANCED EXPERIENCE WITH SPLUNK, creating dashboards and creating custom add-ons
- ABILITY TO WRITE COMPLEX REGULAR EXPRESSIONS AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE (PYTHON, JAVASCRIPT)
- STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES RELATED TO THREAT INTELLIGENCE, VULNERABILITY MANAGEMENT, MALWARE PROTECTION, SECURE CONFIGURATION, INCIDENT RESPONSE AND MONITORING
- ETL process and data processing (log data) integrate systems together
- Statistics knowledge (general concept)
- Knowledge in ELK = ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements and create test plans based on requirements
- Develop configuration code and scripts as necessary for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Build and test solutions in a lab environment
- Document test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Provide third-level support to Production operations teams as necessary
