For one of our biggest clients in Basel we are looking for a Big data engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working in an Agile team
- Working together with the architecture team to clarify requirements
- Implementing solutions on the Hadoop platform
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience in an industrial environment with Hadoop, Apache Spark, Java, C++, Python, Scala, R
- Strong experience with Kafka, MapReduce, HBase, HDFS, HCatalog
- Experience with master data management
- Previous experience in an agile environment would be a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Fluent English is a must
- Any experience in macroeconomics and with BI tools would be a plus
