Big Data Engineer - Log Management with profound Log management and Splunk knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Bachelor degree in information technology or computer science along with 3+ years' working experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Log management as well as big data platforms, such as Arcsight and ELK coupled with Splunk expertise with creating dashboards and custom add-ons
- Know-how of integrating systems together, ETL process and data processing/log data
- Programming experience, like Python and JavaScript along with ability to write complex regular expressions
- Good knowledge of Statistics (general concept), communication and documentation
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
YOUR TASKS:
- Analysing requirements and design technical solutions with test plans based on those requirements
- Collaborating with architects, engineers and business analysts to ensure proposed technical solutions are compatible within companies' environment
- Developing configuration code and scripts for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Creating and testing solutions in a lab environment in addition to documenting test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Providing third-level support to Production operations teams as necessary
