Xcede are currently looking for a Big Data Engineer to be based in Brussels Belgium.
You will need to have experience in setting up data flows to build Data Marts for various Use Cases in marketing, sales, content and online
Bringing data from several source systems together in the Data Lake (Apache NiFi)
Programming Test Driven Spark jobs in Scala
Integrations with Jenkins, Airflow, AWS S3, AWS EMR, SQS
Translating business stories into technical requirements
Hard skills
The following skills are crucial for the position of Big Data Engineer:
Experience with Scrum or other agile methods, preferably as a Scrum Master
An Agile & Lean mindset - wider Agile and Lean knowledge are a plus
Knowledge of TDD, DDD and clean code practices to deliver quality
Affinity with Jenkins, Git, Maven, Rest and Scala
"Must have" knowledge: Scala, Spark, Java 8, SQL
Must be Fluent in Both DUTCH & ENGLISH
