For a 12 months project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

BIG DATA DEVELOPER - HADOOP (4111)

We are looking for a strong teamplayer who has the technical know how of Internet facing applications.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- HANDS-ON HADOOP EXPERIENCE (DEVELOPMENT/ENGINEERING/PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE)
- DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF HADOOP AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF SECURITY CONCEPTS (AS THEY RELATE TO HADOOP)
- Configuration Management (Saltstack, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
- Strong UNIX skills (Redhat preferred)
- Very skilled in Python/Java/Scala programming
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- A strong sense of ownership and initiative

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Engineering of data pipelines (primarily batch, increasingly intra-day/near-Real Time)
- Integration and evaluation of new big data and data science technologies
- Development of platform components
- Consultation to application groups on how best to utilise the platform and technologies
- Engagement with groups for PoCs and full platform on-boarding
