Big Data developer (BI/BW) Job - Pharma - Basel, Switzerland

Do you have experience creating Hadoop based Big Data solutions? Are you experienced with MS SQL Server, Java? Do you have a good understanding of Tableau? Do you have experience in the pharma industry? If so, this could be the perfect job for you.
Our client, an industry-leading global pharmaceutical company, is searching for an experienced Hadoop Big Data software developer to work on a three-month contract with high likelihood of extension until the end of 2017. You will be adapting a Big Data internal application into a customer facing prototype dealing with patient data. The key challenge will be adapting the application to cope with EU healthcare regulations.
You must have professional experience in Cloudera Big Data Hadoop technologies (Impala, Hive, Oozie, Sqoop). Relevant experience in MS SQL Server, Java, Tableau are a must. Also required is a security background in Internet facing solutions (penetration testing, Firewalls design, reverse proxys, SAML, VPNs). Previous experience in the pharma industry would be very advantageous. Experience with patient regulation data is also a benefit.
Full fluency in English is mandatory, and French and German skills would be an additional benefit. The right to work in Switzerland is required. Remote work is an option up to 20%.
The ideal personality profile will be a motivated person, a strong team player, have excellent communication skills, and be passionate about providing database integration solutions.
