BIG DATA DEVELOPER/HADOOP DEVELOPER

One of my top clients is urgently looking for a BIG DATA DEVELOPER/HADOOP DEVELOPER. This is a long term contract in the Netherlands, with great rates! Please see the job description below!

JOB DESCRIPTION

* Design and implement Big Data systems according to the Customer requirement.
. Provide recommendations and solutions for improving data accessibility across multiple data platforms.
. Identify and implement innovative technologies, advanced analytics, methods of machine learning, and statistical models within current systems.
. Continuously develop and enhance understanding of existing data infrastructure and source systems as well as new technologies, tools and methods in data architecture and BI infrastructure.
. Oversees data governance, data integrity, data security for Compliance team.
. Create and maintain documentation of database processes and business rules.
. Implementing ETL process

EDUCATION
. Bachelor/Master Degree in IT/Computer Science Engineering

EXPERIENCE
. More than 4 years of Big data development experience.
. Certified Developer for Hadoop
. Experience with major Hadoop distributions and Knowledge on cloud, virtualized, docker deployments
. Solid understanding of distributed computing principles
. Proficiency with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS,Spark, Hbase, Hive, Yarn, Mesos, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Pig, Impala
. Experience in building enterprise level big data systems with 16+ nodes cluster for international clients
. Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks
. Experience with Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks
. Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming
. Development experience and knowledge on programming languages - Java, Python Scripting,Shell Scripting
. Experience Code version control systems - Git, SVN
. Knowledge on relational data bases like Netezza DB, Oracle,SQL
. Experience on cloud, docker is a plus
. Experience with Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O is a plus
