Here is Job Summary:

• Job Title: Big Data Architect
• Job Location: Nuremberg, Germany
• Job Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 6-12 months (extendable)
• Job start: ASAP
• Daily Rates: €550 - €600 / Day

Job Overview:

• Enterprise architecture and over 3+ years in Big Data.
• Strong experience in Requirements gathering, Solution Architecture, Design, Development and Deployment
• Implementation experience on at least 2+ Big Data projects
• Proven experience in Data modeling & architecting Big data-based Platforms for large customers
• Should have been responsible for implementation of full lifecycle of a Hadoop solution, including requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment

ROLE

• Design and build scalable infrastructure and platform to collect, process and analyze very large amounts of data (structured and unstructured), including streaming real-time data
• Work closely across an array of various teams and organizations in the company and industry
• Exhibit Strong technical team leadership, mentorship and collaboration
• Provide technical support to all team members during project execution

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Architecture Design, Data modeling and advanced SQL experience
• Should have in depth knowledge on Cloudera Big data distribution
• Hands-on experience with Design and development on Hadoop stack including Hive, Impala, Spark, MapReduce, Oozie, Sqoop
• Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages such as Java, Python
• Experience in any search engine platform such as Solr is desirable
• Experience in Agile development methodology

CLIENT MANAGEMENT SKILLS

• Must possess good client facing experience with the ability to facilitate requirements sessions and lead teams and present analysis in business terms
• Must have led / managed / executed analytics driven project through the complete life-cycle of the project

DESIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
• Certification in any Hadoop distribution
