Big Data Architect/Engineer - Midlands - Contract

My large blue chip client is currently looking for a Big Data Architect/Engineer to join their rapidly growing, dynamic team.

This job is perfect for those wanting to join an established company and use their skills to further their careers within Big Data.

THE JOB ROLE ENTAILS - - Build systems to handle different types of data flows and access/query patterns such as streaming analytics, search/query, data-mining.
- Develop software and tools to make data-intensive computing, analytics and machine learning more accessible to end user
- Responsible for developing distributed technologies
- Create scalable database platforms (SQL and NoSQL) for managing large scientific dataset

REQUIRED SKILLS - - Articulate and able to communicate effectively
- Specialist in Hadoop (Pig, Flume etc.)
- Experience in delivering large enterprise level applications
- Developing code in multiple languages including C/C++, Python and Java is not required but is advantageous
