Salt are currently working with a leading client looking for a Big Data Architect to be based out of Oslo, Norway. Initially this should be for 3 months with possible extensions.

The ideal candidate will have - - 15+ years of experience as solution architect in DWBI, data engineering, Big data technologies
- Strong experience in architecture, design and implementation of data solutions in cloud (Azure) and Big data (Hadoop, Spark) platforms
- Strong experience in Azure ecosystem such as HDInsight, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and SQL DW
- Implementation and migration experience in Hadoop ecosystem such as Spark, Scala, Python, Hive, HDFS.
- Background in building traditional data processing and reporting solutions using DW, ETL and BI tools.
- Ability to independently drive consulting engagements interacting with technology and business stakeholders
- Strong experience in data analysis, profiling and Datamodelling
- Experience consulting and implementing data governance and data quality management
- Preferred: Experience in credit management (debt collection services) domain
- Nice to have: Experience in analytics and ML tools such as Azure ML, R/Python or SAS
- Nice to have: Experience in implementing data processing solutions in AWS
