Big Data Architect wanted for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 10+ years' experience in similar roles as well as background in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Strong knowledge of Lambda and Kappa architecture, key big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra
- Solid understanding of design patterns, application development and refactoring concepts as well as big data solutions developed in large cloud computing infrastructures
- Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis and object- oriented analysis and design
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
YOUR TASKS:
- Designing and developing proposals and implementation of scalable big data architecture as well as profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions
- Defining common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for data storage, acquisition, analysis and transformation
- Developing roadmaps and implementation strategy around data science initiatives including recommendation engines, predictive modelling, machine learning and creating technical documentation
- Executing day-to-day coordination of the technical implementation with the group specifications regarding platform and application operation, data protection and data security
- Participating in customer's workshops and deploying high-performance, custom applications at scale on Hadoop
