Big Data Architect

You will own, and drive, data strategy and help the company implement Big Data best practices.

Essential Experience:

* 5 + years' experience of analytics, NoSQL data stores, Datamodelling and data management, analytic tools, languages, or libraries including Hadoop, Hive, Cassandra, Kafka, Storm, Akka, etc.
* Extensive experience with database design, data warehouse principles and architecture, and data architecture principles.
* Exceptional background ETL design/development knowledge
* Experience with Datamodelling tools (PowerDesigner) and BI tools (Business Objects, Tableau)
* Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills when working with both business and technical teams

Responsibilities include:

* Own and drive data strategy
* Establish, maintain, and drive data standards including governance across multiple business and technology teams
* Provide direction and oversight for data modellers on the design of relational and dimensional models
* Help customers to understand and leverage existing data sets
* Interface with upstream system architects, developers and program managers to resolve data issues and drive capture of data needed by business customers
* Provide Datamodelling training for colleagues and customers wishing to develop on the platform
* Maintain master data models and standards documentation
