Works with Technical Lead; Assists with data load related architecture and technical design; Develops ETL mappings; Development and maintenance of database systems to extract, cleanse, transform, load and maintain data; Ensures compliance with industry best practices; Performs code review; Coordinates and develops process automation/job scheduling; Perform testing, code review; Performs defect analysis. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance): 
a
1.) 5+ or more years of design and development experience in Information Technology 
2.) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 9 years of design and development experience in Information Technology. 
3.) 3+ years of Talend ETL application development with progressive experience. 
4.) 5+ years of technical experience with databases. 
5.) 5+ years writing scripts, functions and stored procedures using SQL or Oracle PL/SQL. 
6.) Experience with Oracle, SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting 
7.) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance): 
(The preferred qualifications will be used to further narrow the pool of candidates that meet all of the basic qualifications) 

1.) Experience and working knowledge of Oracle 11g. 
2.) Experience and working knowledge of TOAD and Erwin Data Modeler products. 
3.) Ability to install, upgrade, configure, optimize, and maintain ETL applications on UNIX and Windows platform Servers. 
4.) Experience with MQSeries messaging. 
5.) Experience with agile development process. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (listed in order of importance): 
(The responsibilities of the job will form the basis for benchmark screening questions) 

1.) Developing and testing ETL programs for both data manipulation and web services. Production monitoring and support of ETL application tier. 
2.) Administrates all aspects of the ETL software, including configuration and performance tuning. 
3.) Performs root cause analysis when ETL issues arise and then proposes and implements solutions. 
4.) Coordinates with DBA Team on database schema design and performance tuning. 
5.) Participates in business requirements meetings with IT, business management, staff and end users. 
6.) Ensures that all project activities are thoroughly documented and current, and that appropriate change management and version control practices procedures have been followed. 
7.) Provides team members and management with timely status of activities and issues. Escalates issues when necessary by recognizing severity and impact to users and IT systems. 

ETL Developer 
Top 3-5 required skills:
