Robert Half Management Resources are recruiting for an Interim Bid Writer for an NHS Foundation Trust and joint partner organisations to work within the Commercial Directorate a large enterprise unit within the NHS. 3 month initial contract, based in London.

The Interim Bid Writer will be responsible for writing the Trust's and its partner organisations' bid response to a complex tender exercise of significant strategic importance.

THE ROLE

- To directly write and/or co-ordinate the writing of bid content for a tender exercise. The tender is of high strategic value, complex in nature and potentially politically sensitive.
- Ensure that the requirements for the submission of a compliant bid in respect of wording and bid content are met. Analysing bid responses to identify best practice and ensuring that the bid reflects excellence.
- Ensure that all bid content reflects the quality and standards to maximise the potential commercial win rate.
- Work with Programme Manager to lead the liaison with partners and sub-contractors - in relation to development of bid responses.
- Able to draw on resources within clinical and corporate directorates across all partner organisations, as required, to ensure that bid content is of high quality and relevant.
- Manage multiple resources from multiple directorates across partner organisations to ensure successful high quality bid content.
- Using expert knowledge and experience, responsible for managing and interpreting complex and significant levels of information and data into formats suitable for bid content.
- Develop and manage an effective data repository to ensure that all reference documents and articles used in bid content are up-to-date and relevant.
- Lead accountability to work with colleagues in other service departments ie communications, to ensure that that all reference documents and articles used in bid content are up-to-date and relevant.
- Understand the commercial requirements of a high quality bid and that bid content must fully reflect the requirements of the customer.
- Understand the commercial importance of a definitive statement of requirements.
- Understand the commercial importance of ensuring that outputs are clearly defined and evidenced within a bid/project.
- Escalate project risks and issues as appropriate.
- Ensure that bid content does not result in the Trust being liable or exposed to un-identified or unnecessary risk.

YOUR PROFILE

- Educated to degree level desirable masters or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
- Must have a background with NHS/Healthcare.
- Significant experience in bid writing/bid preparation of clinical/health service bids, with demonstrable achievement.
- Ability to multi task; able to work on several projects at one time, prioritising workload according to different timescales
- Able to present coherent arguments and discuss strategic, commercial and operational issues with staff at all levels in a variety of different formats, depending on audience.
- Experience of successfully operating in and delivering priorities in a partnership environment.
- Dynamic, driven, solutions-driven and able to translate strategy into operational reality.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Interim Bid Writer for an initial 3 months, based in London with travel across London. Up to £350pd (via Ltd Company).
