Our client is one of the worlds leading telecoms companys, which delivers innovative products and services to customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the United States. This role is to support our clients Cloudfrom design and build to management and operation. Our client helps CIOs and IT departments reduce costs, focus their resources and drive business strategy. In this role you will be required to manage global Cloud and Hosting bid responses in Germany. Our client is looking to fill the position of Bid Manager.

Your key tasks:
- Managing major and advanced opportunities by building and managing the Bid Plan ensuring that the all activities are completed and that the customer deliverables are made on time
- Creating the proposal, ensuring customer focus and clear articulation of the value proposition
- Ensuring all risks are understood, mitigated or accepted by the appropriate stakeholders
- Ensuring that the bid has appropriate sign off before being submitted, including that formal financial and commercial governance has been followed
- The Bid Manager is the honest broker, balancing the customer and sales objectives, with the need to make an adequate return and to manage risk to the business
- Management of a standard bid library and content in German

- Provide appropriate representation from cloud and hosting into German governance forums
- Agrees the Bid Strategy through the organisation securing the necessary resources and skills to the virtual team
- Bringing thought leadership and experience of previous opportunities to the team to influence bid approach to the customer
- Accountable for ensuring that the proper governance has been followed and that stakeholders have approved all risks
- Working closely with the account team, and with the customer, to understand their stated and underlying requirements in order to ensure that our solution meets their requirements and the value proposition is explained
- Working with third party providers and internal contributors to the bid to ensure the solution is deliverable and the bid response provided on time
- Manages the virtual bid team - responsible for ensuring the team understand the strategy and their role in delivering that strategy - and for the timeliness and quality of all deliverables
- The Bid-Manager needs to build relationships in the business and be able to identify the right people to support the bid, delegating and assigning responsibility for activities in the bid
- Pro-actively share Cloud and Hosting best practice with the Bid Team and the wider Commercial Team in order that the Bid Process is in a state of continuous improvement
- Management of bid processes for standard and non-standard VCHS opportunities
- Understanding and communication of risk and accountability for ensuring that the proper governance has been followed and that stakeholders have approved all risks
- The Bid Manager leads the virtual bid team - they are responsible for ensuring the team understand the strategy and their role in delivering that strategy

Your profile:
- Experienced in managing bids using recognised best practice methods and tools
- Individual should have experience of managing bids with Total Contract Values in excess of 25 million
- Proven experience developing compelling commercial & pricing propositions
- Proven experience Telecoms and/or IT managed service experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of Commercial contract issues affecting a regional or global bid
- Experience of managing complex bids, customer negotiation of MSA to signature
- Should ideally be APMP Qualified to Foundation level (as a minimum)
- If not formally qualified then demonstrable experience of a structured approach to Bid Management, in line with the principles of the APMP is a requirement
- Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Macros)
- Degree or postgraduate business qualification or equivalent experience
- Programme Management Experience
- Experience of working with Sales teams using formal Sales Methodology Practices
- Worked in bid organisations with established bid management structures
- Excellent communication and document writing skills
- Native German with Business English skills
