BI Technical Lead Obiee

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creation of Oracle BI (OBI) project-level technical designs & documentation based on team best practices & standards
Assist Project Managers with estimation and project plan creation
Lead performance evaluations and tuning activities
Ability to assist with and lead proof of concept evaluations
Perform code reviews of project OBI deliverables
Manage/coordinate OBI code migrations
Acting as a point of technical escalation and resolution during the project life cycle
Assist the Quality Assurance group with the creation and executing of test cases

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Information Systems or Mathematics background
7-10 years of IT experience with at least 4 years of hands-on experience with OBIEE including Oracle BI Server, Answers, Interactive Dashboards, Publisher
In-depth experience with Reporting and Analytics concepts and implementations
Proficient with RPD design, dashboard/report development, and OBI security
Experience with general Agile and Waterfall-based development methodologies

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience with providing technical leadership, preferably across geographic disparate locations
Experience with large scale OBI implementations and data sets
Dimensional data modelling knowledge and hands-on Oracle SQL and basic tuning experience required
Experience in creating and managing custom skins and OBI graphics files
Basic knowledge of working within environments where OBI is highly integrated with other systems (eg web platforms) recommended
Hands-on experience with large team and multi-user project development strategies with OBI
Interpersonal skills: work closely with various inter-related groups & team members
Excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
