BI Support Engineer

The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer will be responsible for bug management, incident management, release management, tech debt reduction, business support, and system health reporting of client Business Intelligence solutions. The BI Engineer will work closely with other BI team members to utilize innovative solutions that improve support processes, support the strategic use of BI technology, and meet internal and external customer's service levels. In addition, the BI Engineer will play a role as a backup BI development engineer for events like attrition, vacations and unforeseen leaves taken by BI engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain and own BI bug management and incident resolution process.
- Responsible for resolving bugs within defined service levels.
- Manage and own BI Bugs and incident life cycle and drive those to permanent resolutions, implement preventive measures to avoid repetitive issues.
- Debug, troubleshoot, root cause analysis and resolve issues within SLA.
- Resolve complex bugs with long term fixes following BI best practices.
- Collaborate with BI team for solution review of complex bugs and incident resolution.
- Follow up with third party vendors for issue resolution and prevention.
- Provide higher management and business verticals with timely update on system health and key priority issues.
- Perform weekly incident/bug review meetings with BI team.
- Responsible for 24 x 7 production system support, including off hours and weekend 'on call' production support responsibilities.
- Conduct daily spot check of system health and BI deliverables.
- Manage and own BI release process.
- Responsible for supporting continued release of BI deliverables to production, perform on demand meetings with BI team for supporting issues encounter due to production changes with minimal help from BI team.
- Follow BI change control and continues integration process for changes to production system.
- Own all changes made to production system.
- Responsible for continues system improvements to help reduce tech debt costs.
- Act as a backup for development engineer for events like attrition, vacations and unforeseen leaves taken by BI Engineers.
- Provide timely and continues update to business stakeholders for business impacting issues.
- Perform custom, ad-hoc data analysis and reporting based on stakeholders requests within SLA.
- Support weekly and monthly customer report processing.
- Actively participate in team meetings and technical discussions.
- Conduct regular presentations to team/stakeholders.
- Responsible for providing timely status report to management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree with 1+ Years of IT Experience OR Bachelor's degree/foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science with 3+ Years of IT
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Effective time management and problem solving skills
