BI SSAS Developer

We are looking for a Business Intelligence consultant who has a minimum of 5 years of experience with the design, implementation and maintenance of OLAP cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services.

My client has a relational database containing hundreds of millions of facts that can be grouped and ordered as dimensions and metrics. This is currently being done using a custom-built query engine that takes the query definition and generates SQL. We would like to migrate this system to OLAP so we can work with the existing BI tools that are provided by SQL Server. The primary drivers are improving query performance to near Real Time

What we would like to achieve in the short term:
A short assessment of the existing database and a recommendation on how to create an OLAP cube based on this data.
A proof of concept design, taking a number of existing queries that are currently problematic (eg too slow or too complex) and convert them to run on the OLAP cube within the Real Time requirements listed above.

If that is successful and we are convinced the proof of concept will scale, then we have these longer term goals:
Assistance in converting all remaining dimensions and metrics to the OLAP cube.
Assistance in deploying and upgrading the OLAP cube on our development, staging and live Servers.
Transfer knowledge on how to maintain performance and stability of the OLAP cube.
