BI/SQL Test Analyst

Will be responsible for testing company software applications and must be able to work with limited supervision. This position requires one year experience in development life cycle, testing as primary area of knowledge, proficiency with Mercury Interactive testing tools and understanding of the wireless telecommunications industry. The Test Analyst will be proficient in at least two business functions: process (ex. Billing) or technology (ex. Web Applications).

The Test Analyst will:
*Develop test plans, test cases and automation to test and validate product requirements file bugs and follow up on arising issues
*Designs and execute complex scripts to evaluate product quality.
*Reviews solution business requirements and functional and technical design documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the testing requirements.
*Configures the testing environment appropriately and coordinates the test data
*Maintains working knowledge of existing product functionality and keeps abreast of future product direction.
*Provide leadership, technical direction on project-specific tasks and mentoring for other members
*Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

SKILLS:

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
*2 years advanced SQL with stored procedures/automation set up for SQL Server; SQL is used during testing and is a significant portion of this position. MUST have solid SQL skills.
*Must be able to write joins
*5 year experience designing, developing, and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases required
*5 year understanding Testing techniques and standards required
*5 year experience testing business solutions with a variety of tools such as SQL
*Experience in telecommunications industry.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
*Experience in User Acceptance Testing is beneficial.
*3 years of advanced SQL experience.
*3 year of experience in the various phases of Software Development life cycle including design, development, test and support.
*2 year of experience in HP Quality Center
