BI Solution Analyst & Developer

We are searching for a BI SOLUTION ANALYST & DEVELOPER, for our client, a world renowned multination based in the Vaud Region of Switzerland. 

Within the Business Intelligence Department, the BI solution analyst and  developer will be in charge of creating, implementing and supporting BI solution

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

RUN - BI SUPPORT AND SERVICES

- Support the business to understand the available BI products
- Understand possible discrepancies highlighted by the business and explain it when it's possible
- Analyse the assigned incidents
- Propose corrections
- Develop patch to fix the incidents
- Propose BI enhancements

DELIVERY - SOLUTION ANALYST

- Define the logical modelling
- Transform the logical to physical model rationalization
- Support the business requirements analysis
- Rationalize the multiple data quality rules to a single logical model
- Identify the use of abstract principles and determining the overall modelling approach to be used
- Provide the functional and technical specification to the developer

BI DEVELOPER (ETL SPECIALIST)

- Understand the data structure and meaning in both source and target BI systems
- Identify data sources
- Assess data sources
- Create source/target mappings
- Apply business rules as transformations
- Design and develop the solution following the best practices
- Perform the unit test and the regression test
- Work with production data to monitor and report on data conditions and quality

KEY SKILLS

- Data Vault Modeling Knowledge (certification a must)
- data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
- proven professional experience and expertise in ETL development
- relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence, ideally as a consultant.
- Data warehouse development and implementation
- SQL and PLSQL expertise
- Kimball's methodology.
- Cognos 8 Reporting tools (Cubes and ad hoc reports), 
- CRM and campaign tool like Neolane, Siebel, Data Mining tool like SPSS an asset.
- French and English
