BI Operation Specialist

For a major international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a:

BI OPERATION SPECIALIST

to ensure the run of all the BI services, monitoring the application, supporting the business and ensuring the 2nd and third level of support.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

OPERATION MANAGER

- Own the production
- Gate Keeper Production
- Monitor up/down, and analyze the trends high-level
- Log incidents

RUN - INCIDENT MANAGER

- Manage incident life cycle
- Ensure the incident creation
- Identify the product impacted
- Assign the incident
- Follow up/Escalation
- Close the incident

RUN - BI SUPPORT AND SERVICES

- Support the business to understand the available BI products
- Understand possible discrepancies highlighted by the business and explain it when it's possible
- Analyze the assigned incidents
- Propose corrections
- Develop patch to fix the incidents
- Propose BI enhancements

RUN - DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (*ENVIRONMENT MANAGER)

- The database administrator (DBA) monitors the physical data that the project is adding to the existing BI environment. The DBA works closely with the metadata manager to evaluate how the BI is being altered and ensures efficient performance of the BI environment
- Design, implement, and tune database schemas
- Conduct regular performance testing and tuning
- Manage storage space and memory

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

- Experience in Business Intelligence
- Specialized in Data Warehouse
- Expertise in ETL DEVELOPMENT
- EXPERIENCE IN ORACLE DATA INTEGRATOR
- Experience in PLSQL
- Developed skills on BI FRONT END
- Knowledge of KIMBALL'S METHODOLOGY
- COGNOS 8 REPORTING TOOLS (Cubes and ad hoc reports),
- Knowledge of CRM and campaign tool like Neolane, Siebel as well as Data Mining tool like SPSS, SAP BW would be an asset.

This is a contract position with an international client until the end of 2015 in the first instance.

The client is located on Lake Geneva, in Lausanne.
