BI/MI Analyst/Developer

BI/MI ANALYST/DEVELOPER - SQL, SSIS, SSRS, .NET, REPORTING SERVICES, CUBE DESIGN, BUSINESS INFORMATION, MANAGEMENT INFORMATION, QLIKVIEW, XLCUBES, SAGEBI, FX APP - LONDON - 6 MONTH CONTRACT £400 - 500 PER DAY.

A BI/MI Analyst Developer is urgently sought for a leading insurance company based in the City. The A BI/MI Analyst Developer will join the existing BIS team and be responsible for the development and ongoing support of a variety of business information systems. The ideal applicant will have experience of at least 2 major SQL development projects, be a strong communicator with attention to detail. Applicants are highly desired from the Insurance market place especially London Market experience.

Main responsibilities will include;

- Design, development & system testing of interfaces between SQL server databases including
- use of SSIS
- Cube design, implementation and modification using SSAS
- Developing and automating reports using SQL stored procedures, Reporting Services and front
- end MI tools (QlikView, Performance Point, ProClarity, XLCubes, Sage BI)
- Unit testing
- Supporting .NET applications for loading data into warehouse eg FX App
- Problem solving and identifying root causes of issues
- Supporting users who will be acceptance testing the systems

Applicants are required to have the following Skills and Experience:

- Finance systems analysis and development
- SQL development (MS SQLServer 2000 & 2005 & 2008) (at least two major projects)
- MS SSRS, including development of complex reports
- MS SSIS, including interlinked packages
- MS SSAS, for complex cubes
- Experience dealing directly with business users
- London Market Insurance experience would be advantageous
