Job Description -IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER- Data Pole - OCM Department

CONTEXT

OCM & DATA POLE:

ORGANISATION & CHANGE MANAGEMENT (OCM)is responsible for delivering valuable IT solutions to the different businesses of D'Ieteren Auto. Main goal of OCM is to fulfil the gap between business and IT. Members of OCM are PM/Business Analysts challenging business people to specify their needs, helping them to build and deliver their IT Solutions within expected delay and budget.

Within this department we find the DATA POLE which is leading Data-oriented Projects. The kind of projects handled here are either traditional BI solutions (Data warehousing/Reporting/Dashboarding) or Data Insights solutions (Segmentation/Analytics/ )

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In a general way the IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER is responsible for creating and delivering a technical solution based on business requirements, on time and to agreed quality.

Specifically the role is expected for our DATAPLATFORM PROJECT and later for further initiatives.

The main goal of the DataPlatform project is to migrate our OnPrem DataWareHouse to the Cloud on a Microsoft Azure Tenant. Beyond this our target DataPlatform must be able to onboard any kind of data coming either from the current systems of the company or from the future ones like connected cars (or any other IoT sensors).

The project is already in its realisation phase: based on a target architecture we're setting up the Azure components and all the needed workflows. Although Business will benefit of the new Data Platform it's more a technical project than a business one.

Due to the challenges ahead and the remaining work we are looking for somebody to reinforce the current working team. That team is not a dedicated one. It's composed of members working onsite and of external suppliers coming onsite by time to time.

In that specific context, the Implementation Manager must:

-Translate the high-level architecture into technical specifications
-Help PM to manage the scope of the project
-Ensure that best practices are followed
-Support system testing
-Plan and manage the development team
-Report on progress
-Improve the existing development processes
-Documenting all deliverables

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Master or equivalent by experience
- Min. 5 years of Professional experience
- Expertise in Datamodelling and Business Intelligence
- Able to write complex SQL Queries (especially on Microsoft stack)
- Able to understand, shape and explain complex data architectures
- Able to write and maintain documentation
- Able to lead a team and coach members
- In-depth knowledge of specific applications - able to quickly learn and master new applications/technologies (eg Microsoft Azure)
- Autonomous
- Pro-active
- Rigorous

Knowledge on some of below items is considered as a strong asset:

- C#
- PowerShell
- Microsoft Azure Components for Data Analytics (SQL DWH, DataLake, Stream Analytics, Automation, WorkerRole, etc.)
- Microsoft PowerBI
- Agile (mainly Scrum and a bit of Kanban principles)
