BI/ETL Data Analyst Job

DATA ANALYST (ETL) needed for a Contract opportunity with Yoh's Federal client located in St. Louis, Missouri.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience with BI tools, ETL tools, and metadata management tools
- Experience in data normalization and denormalization for reporting
- Skilled in designing and building Star Schema, Snowflake, and/or dimensional data model and databases

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- Exercises analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing a system of computer programs, and developing procedures to resolve the problems.
- Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Develops and modifies complex systems and develops subsystems to enhance the overall operational system.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL jobs
- Ability to assure data currency according to established data requirements and quality validation and verification processes
- Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Knowledgeable in DBMS, including RDBMS and ODBS

Experience in data normalization and denormalization for reporting
- Skilled in designing and building Star Schema, Snowflake, and/or dimensional data model and databases
- Skilled in data architecting and building data warehouse and data marts
- Expertise in developing Business Intelligence applications in SQL Server, Oracle, and SAS data environments
- Skilled to receive, and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data into the appropriate warehouse schema tables from multiple data sources and multiple source carrier systems (internal and remote) ensuring data file quality
- Experience in building database structures for data processing and query analysis
- SQL Server and Oracle experience
- SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and other SQL type tools
- Experience in working reports tools
- Experience in managing data and metadata
- Experience with BI tools, ETL tools, and metadata management tools
