BI/EDW Developer

A large corporate is looking for several BI/EDW Developers with 3 or so years experience across Teradata, Datastage and related utilites. The requirement is within a large Agile environment and the contract roles on offer are likely to run into longer term roles.

SOME OF THE ATTRIBUTES A DELIVERY TEAM DEVELOPER SHOULD HAVE:

- Excellent SQL skills
- An outgoing personality, communicative with a willingness to learn and share
- Knowledge and practical experience of enterprise data warehouse architecture
- Knowledge and practical experience of ETL/ELT design and development
- An exposure to agile process and engineering practices
- Able to embrace testing as well as coding
- Able to talk to business people about requirements, converting conversation into testable acceptance criteria
- Able to work in a team environment, learning from others on the job and also teaching skill to other member of the team
- A willingness to question process and ways of working
- Confidant about expressing opinions but comfortable with compromise

IMPORTANT SKILLS:

- Teradata & Utilities
- IBM Infosphere Datastage (7.5+)
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis & Reporting Services

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Cognos
- Cucumber
- Ruby
