BI Developer

Our highly respected client is looking for an experienced BI Developer to join their team based in Basel, on a contract basis, initially for 3 months with an extension highly likely.

BI Developer - Key Skills:

Proven experience in at least one of the following:
Development using SQL Server Integration Services
Development using SQL Server Analysis Services - Multidimensional, Tabular as well a bonus
Proven experience in Datamodelling and dimensional modelling
Full project life cycle experience from initial design and Datamodelling through development, testing and into production support
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to convert business requirements into practical solutions
Confident, friendly, self-motivated, solutions-driven personality
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Tableau experience - Desirable
DAX experience - Desirable
Experience of anchor modelling - Desirable

BI Developer - Responsibilities:
SQL Server Development work using T-SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Working with the BI Architect and BA's to enhance the warehouse and/or datamart schema, including Datamodelling
Analysis Services development work using MDX and TABULAR models
Requirements analysis and the translation of these requirements into business solutions
Working with business analysts or business representatives to ensure that the solution is correct, reconciled and signed-off.
Provide assistance with the resolution of user problems and queries
Data analysis, reconciliation and manipulation as required.
Report design and development
