BI Developer/Reporting Specialist

Projektbeschreibung
The BI Specialist will take full responsibility for the smooth operation of the database environment. The person will also be responsible for the architecture (including design & development) of a complex environment.
We are offering a long-term contract (min. 6 month) in the center of Zurich, Switzerland.
YOU MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Developing in different BI/DWH projects.
- Ensure all database Servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and the business' Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
- Design, development and maintenance of database synchronization solutions, such as log-shipping or clustering, etc.
- Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur.
- Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.
- Optimize database related hardware configurations, such as server network topology, memory usage and physical storage design.
- Work closely with database and application developers to provide best practices in database design and development.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability (including server performance) and able to implement possible solutions.
ADDITIONALLY:
- Manage and monitor all installed server, network systems and data centre infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test and maintain Servers, operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Play an important role within the change-management process.
- Work in a virtualization technology such as Hyper-V or VMWare to handle database server administration tasks.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in BI/DWH projects.
- Profund knowledge in Business Intelligence DWH Developing. Your Focus should be MS SQL Server with SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Insurance industry know-how appreciated.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in BI/DWH projects.
- Fluent English a must, German a plus.
- Interested in Database Development.
- Experience with hands-on SQL Server database administration.
